As with most guys, my hubby is really uncomfortable posing in front of a camera. But after a considerable amount of coaxing, bribing, threatening and (fake) crying (not all at the same time, of course), I had finally convinced M to let me have a maternity shoot. I contacted a few photographers who were referred by some friends on my social networking group but were unsuccessful in pushing through with the booking. So I got in touch with our wedding photographers and asked them if they wanted to do a maternity shoot. Guj (of Redsheep) was an all go and I was happy that I would be able to capture an important part of my and M's life.

They say sometimes we have to be in touch with the inner child in us so we could appreciate the little things in life. Paano naman kung bumalik ka sa pagkabata? He he he.
I don't know if hubby would kill me for posting this but I can't help sharing his kakulitan. :P We were waiting for the scheduled screening of Transformers 3 at Greenbelt and Myke decided to kill the time by playing a missile game on his phone. One would think that the he could have settled for the built-in game sounds but no, he had to make his own "special effects" (?!). Whenever I play this clip on my phone, it always reminds me of the sound cats made when they're in heat. Ha ha! Hope this brings a smile on your face. To my Bibi, I love you! Peace! xoxo Today, hubby had commenced his "Down to 170 lbs." trim down program. I mentioned in a few of my posts how we like to eat and as a result, growing waistlines and increasing weight. I don't want to sound like a hypocrite but I confess that I also have tendecies to binge. Just the other day, I steamed some siomai to go with my instant pancit canton. I left half of the batch for hubby but somehow, I managed to down a few more of the tasty dumplings before I went to bed. Ugh.
Anyway, I always scold Myke whenever I catch him snacking on chocolates, cupcakes, wafers.. anything sweet actually. Nagging as I might have seemed but I was only concerned for his health. The scolding and reprimanding doesn't always work. And it was only when he checked his weight and the scale tipped to 230 that he finally decided that he should lose a bit of the love handles. I was happy to see that hubby had come to terms with the reality that the preggers looks does not work for him. Ha ha ha. I was also excited to join him on his quest of shedding a few pounds. But I don't think that he has the same idea.. When I asked him on what his "program" would be, he just said he won't be eating anything. But he did ask me to buy him some fruit juices from the grocery. So I guess he meant he'll lessen the carbs intake. And then I remembered the food in the fridge and the kitchen cabinet and asked Myke what we'll do with it. His answer: "Ikaw na lang ang kakain niyan." . Whaaaat?! Just so you won't think that I'm exaggerating, here's a peek on the contents of our fridge and kitchen cabinet: Our plans to play for badminton today fell through so hubby and I decided to go malling instead. It has been a while since he and I watched a movie at the cinema and we also had some shopping to do anyway. Turned out that we won't be seeing any movies - he didn't like any of the films which are currently showing. He wanted to watch "Sanctum" in 3D which unfortunately, wasn't available in Robinson's Manila. So we ended up walking around the mall and buying stuff. We spent quite some time at the Japan Home Center. I think it was Myke's first time to go into their store :) One of the things we bought are these furniture 'socks'. You put them around the legs of your tables, chairs etc. para di siya masyado mapudpod sa kakahila. Ok rin siya lalo na if you're living in an apartment because the 'socks' muffle the thudding and scraping sounds of the legs against the floor. Di mo na mabubulabog ang kapitbahay mo sa baba :P Took a test last December 25 (very fitting. Hi hi hi.) and another one this morning. Both showing two distinct lines :D My office colleagues are so excited for me that they even sent me this Chinese calendar to 'predict' the baby's gender. Hmm... Let's see... Well, if this calendar is accurate, our first born will be a boy :P Hubby and I couldn't be happier. Will definitely make an appointment with a doc soon to hear the official word :) It's Myke's birthday today. I really, really wanted to cook something for him to show off.. errr.. to show how much I care him but I had to yield due to some limitations. So, I just helped out his mom in the kitchen and was literally switching from prepping ingredients for Myke's birthday fare to overseeing renovation of our room one floor down. The birthday boy wasn't exactly having a little R&R on his special day but was also being errand boy. It was a prettty long day just because the workers had to work overtime for the installation of the grills for our apartment. But going to sleep at around 1am, Myke and I were pretty happy. Myke was stuffed with the food we prepared and our room was slowly nearing its completion. Next year, we'd be able to celebrate our birthdays in our own home :) Someone from the office was selling cutesy pens that are suitable for children's gifts this Christmas. I really wasn't interested on the fake Hello Kitties and the other fancy doodoos until I chanced on this - skull pens! They looked really cute and cool. And I was really happy that there were a pair of them! One was white, the other pink! So I immediately held on to them and paid up front.
You probably might be ready to puke already with the wedding related pictures and stories I've been posting lately so I thought to share something fun. But... still wedding related. Ha ha ha! Gotcha! Thing is the only whites you'd see here is not of my gown but of white clouds and sand. Yep, it's our honeymoon in Boracay! :D But before I go on, don't think that I'd be posting some 'naughty' stories here. This is all about the fun in the sands and water. After our wedding, we flew off to Aklan to spend 5 blissful (and stress-free) days at Bora. It's our first visit here for both Myke and I so we were pretty excited. So after the ceremony at the Manila Cathedral, it was time to let loose and celebrate! Here's the other half of our wedding journal. Enjoy! ♥ | Whoops. Mind the puddles. | | Our guests thought we've skipped the dove release part. |
| But we did it right before we headed up to the reception. | |
